一、Would you like to live in a palace, Eddie?埃迪，你想住在宫殿里吗？

1.would like = ’d like想，愿意。与want同义，但语气比want更委婉、礼貌。

当主语用代词表示时，would可以和主语缩写成 -’d,

如：I would = I’d, You would=You’d, We would = We’d, He would = He’d; 变为一般疑问句时直接把would移至句首。

(1).would like sth.想要某物。= want sth. 例：I would like an apple.

(2).would like to do sth.想要做某事。= want to do sth. 例：I’d like to go on a trip to Hainan.

(3).would like sb. to do sth.想要某人去做某事。= want sb. to do sth.

例：My mother would like me to help do housework.

(4).Would you like...?意为“你想(要)......吗？”，用来礼貌地提出请求、征求对方意见或者委婉地提出建议。

例：Would you like some coffee?

例：--Would you like a cup of tea? --Yes, please. / No, thanks.

例：--Would you like to go to the park with me? --Yes, I’d like to. / Sorry, I’m afraid not.

二、I’d like to live next to a restaurant.我想住饭店隔壁。

next to，意思是“靠近；紧挨着的”，= beside

三、Which is your favourite?哪一个是你最喜欢的？

1.favourite在本句中是名词；通常在名词所有格或形物代后面

例：Millie’s favourite my favourite

2.favourite还可以用作形容词；例：Noodles are my favourite food.

3.常转换为“like...best”句型。例：I like noodles best.

4.like...very much

5.dance well speak English well play football well

四、The biggest one in Fifth Street.第五街最大的那一家。

1.biggest是big的最高级。

2.one代替restaurant。one可以用来代替上文提到过的可数名词单数，以免重复。

例：--Which tie is your favourite? --The red one.

3.it是同类同物，上句中不可以代替。

五、Is Tokyo the capital of Japan?东京是日本的首都吗？

1.the capital of... 表示国家或省份的名词

例：Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu province.南京是江苏省的省会。
